Four Suns: the largest elastic mounting building project in company history
Right in the heart of central Moscow, a new luxury residential complex with a total area of 110,000 m² was being built: four eight to ten-storey residential buildings constructed on a common base plate.
"Since the 'Vier Sonnen' residential complex is located directly above two underground lines, the challenge in this project was to protect the building complex from vibrations", summarizes Andreas Stofleth, project manager at Getzner Werkstoffe. The traffic on the two underground lines causes vibrations that can still be felt on the surface. As a vibration-insulating measure, those responsible for construction decided to mount the residential complex elastically on Getzner's Sylomer® material. "Four Suns" is the largest building storage project since Getzner was founded.
Getzner scores points as developer, manufacturer and construction engineering consultant
Based on the concrete measurement results and the proposed technical solutions, Getzner selected the appropriate vibration insulation for the residential complex. The result was a very economical solution, as Getzner produced the material specifically for these requirements. Sylomer® elastic anti-vibration floor and wall bearings were used under the foundations of the apartment blocks and on the surfaces of the foundation walls. In addition to material calculations, Getzner's specialists also took on the project management for on-site installation. Final test measurements confirm the optimum effect of the vibration insulation measures used.
