Getzner nominated for US-A-Biz-Award "WirtschaftsOskar" 2015
The "WirtschaftsOskar" for outstanding achievements of Austrian companies on the US market shines a spotlight on the exceptional and innovative successes of these companies. The award, for which Getzner Werkstoffe was nominated in the Trendsetter category on January 15th by the Austrian Trade Commission Los Angeles, is being conferred this year for the fifth time. “The nominated companies emphasise the competitive strength of the Austrian economy in the most demanding and competitive market in the world,” stresses Rudolf Thaler, Austrian Trade Commissioner in Los Angeles.
Thanks to Getzner and the elastic suspension of the track, the New York City subway system runs on quiet soles. The largest full-surface foundation support system in the USA to date was installed in a public school in Queens, New York, which was built near the railroad. Getzner solutions are used in the USA in the construction, railway and industrial sectors. One of the most prestigious reference projects is the 130 m high skyscraper, the "Rushmore Building" in New York City, from which two floors were completely decoupled from the rest of the building in terms of vibration control. The living and working quality of buildings exposed to noise and vibrations is considerably improved by the vibration protection.
The winners of the five categories, for which a total of twelve nominees are available, will be announced on February 20.
