Investment that adds up - Bedding of buildings increases property value
The "Troger Höfe" apartments in Munich are highly sought-after, in part due to their location and the surrounding infrastructure. The tramway line runs along Ismaninger Straße, immediately in front of the building. Bedding the building on Getzner materials means that the line does not detract from the exclusive atmosphere of the upmarket apartments. Not only are potential buyers and investors impressed, the long-term value of the apartments is also increased while keeping the investment costs as low as possible.
Investigations carried out by engineering consultancy Ingenieure Süd GmbH during the project planning phase showed that vibrations caused by passing trams would be transmitted to the building. Noise and vibrations would impact on comfort levels in the apartments on a permanent basis. "In response to the results of the survey, we decided to bed the front building entirely on Sylodyn® from Getzner. This effectively suppresses vibrations and ensures disturbance from these sources is kept to a minimum," explains Dieter Müller, Chief Executive Officer of the engineering consultancy. The developer Legat Living is also very satisfied: "We were really impressed by Getzner: both when it came to planning and design, and during the implementation. In spring 2019, new home owners will be able to step into apartments that meet even the most demanding of requirements."
