New Case Study: Superyacht "M.Y. Excellence"
With the renovation of the "M.Y. Excellence" superyacht in the Philippines, Getzner has successfully completed another construction project in the field of vibration isolation of the ship's hull. The renovation of the ship's hull was completed at the beginning of 2014 and the elegant yacht is now sailing the seas again. This has resulted in a new Case Study describing the impressive reconstruction of the yacht.
Last year, the Philippine yacht designer and constructor Rouvia Road renovated the luxury yacht "M.Y. Exellence" in a period of only nine months. The motor yacht was built in 1986 by the Dutch shipyard Feadship. Even then, she was equipped with Getzner materials. In 2013, when it was time to renovate the yacht, Getzner Werkstoffe was awarded another contract. For example, around 60 square meters of hull and walls were stored with Sylomer® SR 55 strips. This measure made it possible to decouple the inner hull from the hull of the ship. This considerably reduces vibrations caused by engines and pumps. Since the renovation of the ship, pleasant peace and quiet has been restored on board. An exclusive cruise with the "M.Y. Excellence" in the Philippines.
