New Case Study: "Vibration protection for the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo"
In the new case study Getzner shows how efficient vibration protection can allow music studios and residential apartments to happily exist side-by-side in the same building. "The elastic solution offers the perfect protection against vibration and noise. Thanks to the vibration protection, the residents can enjoy peace and quiet while the musicians have the optimum recording conditions," explains a representative of the Japanese sales partner Nihon Onkyo Engineering Co., Ltd.
Special requirements of the vibration protection
Every year the Red Bull Music Academy gathers together a select group of international music industry representatives for workshops and performances. The main event is held in a different global city each year. In 2014 it was Tokyo's turn to play the role of host city. The chosen venue required a particularly efficient sound control solution: the studios were spread over four storeys of a high-rise building, in which residential apartments and studios were direct neighbours. Every floor was fitted with an elastic bearing made of Sylomer®. The ceilings were equipped with a special vibration protection solution that was developed jointly between Getzner and its Spanish partner AMC Mecanocaucho. The vibration protection for the premises was installed by Getzner in conjunction with its Japanese sales partner Nihon Onkyo Engineering CO., Ltd.
