Quick and effective vibration isolation for the long-term

Buers (AT). Getzner Werkstoffe is introducing a new and simple vibration damper for universal use: Isotop® Compact sets itself apart from rubber-metal products in particular due to its degree of isolation and the proven durability of the materials used. 

Isotop® Compact is a versatile vibration protection solution that remains effective over the long-term. As the core of the compact damper is made from one of Getzner's durable tried-and-tested Sylomer®, Sylodyn® or Sylodamp® polyurethane damping materials, Isotop® Compact also boasts a considerably longer service life compared to rubber-metal dampers. Two metal caps enclose the PU material. The new screw-mountable dampers from Getzner measure barely five centimetres in diameter and can suppress vibrations in loads of 5 to 100 kg. “Thanks to its compact design, Isotop® Compact is quick and easy to install for almost all types of compressors, heat pumps or motors,” explains Uli Habrom, Product Manager at Getzner. 

Individual load adjustment for custom solutions 
The vibration damper is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications, while the range of possible combinations with the different PU materials allow for optimum adjustment in line with the respective loads. Uli Habrom on the key benefits of the new product: “Our highly efficient damper is extremely easy to use – it can be flexibly adapted to the respective situation and individually tailored at any time. With a diameter of just 52 mm, Isotop® Compact can absorb up to 100 kg per load point.”

Compact and efficient PU-metal combination with a long service life 
Isotop® Compact can be easily and safely mounted onto the unit using M8 threaded bushes or M8 threaded pins. The spring and damper combination effectively isolates structure-borne noise, high amplitudes are weakened and even horizontal forces can be absorbed. “Thanks to its Sylomer® core, the damper is much more versatile than all rubber-metal combinations. Our materials are also extremely resistant to environmental influences, preventing brittleness or hardening with crack formation. Isotop® Compact therefore has a significantly longer service life than rubber-metal dampers,” concludes Habrom.
