Vibration protection and sound proofing company expands market presence
Buers (AT)/Lyon (FR). Getzner Werkstoffe, one of the leading specialists in the field of vibration protection, is opening a site in Lyon, France, in June 2015. The Austrian company aims to minimise vibrations and noise, and has been operating in France for 30 years.
Getzner is one of the leading specialists in vibration protection. For approximately 30 years Getzner has been installing elastic solutions that reduce vibrations and noise on the French market. Getzner developed a product for the SNCF which is predominantly used on high-speed lines, providing greater stability in the track superstructure and cutting maintenance costs significantly. "The increasing demand for vibration protection in France is the motivation behind establishing our own subsidiary. Being closer to the customer enables us to further improve our level of service", explains Jürgen Rainalter, CEO of Getzner Werkstoffe. The solutions designed by the Austrian company are based on the materials Sylodyn® and Sylomer®, developed and manufactured by Getzner. They are used in the global rail, construction and industry sectors.
Getzner has more than 45 years' experience in the field of vibration protection, has been operating in France since the middle of the 1980s, and markets its solutions directly and via distribution partners. "France is a promising market for us. Last year in particular we implemented many projects there", adds Juergen Rainalter. For example, vibration protection for the tramway lines in Grenoble and Marseille. "The Louis Vuitton Foundation's "glass cloud" art museum and the Philharmonic Hall in Paris count among our references in the construction sector", says Frédéric Caffin, general manager of Getzner France.
