We eliminate vibrations from places where they do not belong.
Mechanical vibrations are a physical quantity inherent in nature. However, something that gave us joy as children as we soared high on a swing, can cause serious problems in our everyday lives. Vibrations lead to unwanted dynamic excitation, which is transferred into structure-borne noise and can result in secondary airborne noise. They are therefore not only noticeable at the source of disturbance, but also as vibrations and noise in secondary locations. But, this does not have to be the case.
The principle of vibration isolation
Put simply, elasticity is required in the locations where vibrations originate or have an effect. This prevents them being transferred and becoming a problem. The critical factor is achieving precisely the right level of vibration dampening. Does the vibration need to be absorbed or passed back into the system? Which different frequencies occur? How much elasticity can there be in the system without influencing its stability and statics?
We have been looking into all these questions for decades through research, testing and manufacturing. We work with scientists, such as those from the highly acclaimed TU Munich, to develop applications. We have our materials tested and certified by independent institutes. We work in partnership with our customers to find new solutions that are later used around the world.
Getzner: An established name in the rail industry
One of our key areas of application is track construction. Here vibrations can be tackled directly at source, allowing many problems to be addressed where they come into being – noise is just one example. With our help, the safety, availability and cost-effectiveness of railway lines can also be improved.

A higher quality of life in the construction sector
Nowadays, more than half of us live in towns and cities. Homes, infrastructure and industry are moving ever closer together. Brownfield land, for example along railway lines, is being developed and building complexes are being used for mixed purposes. This presents many challenges that can be addressed in a targeted way with our solutions.

Less noise and wear in industry
We have a wide range of products for industrial applications, including the successful Isotop series – a vibration-isolating solution that combines polyurethane and steel springs. Vibrations and noise are effectively reduced, resulting in improved product quality.
