High-speed
Less maintenance for the superstructure
High-speed traffic travels at speeds of 200 km/h or more, which subject the superstructure components to increased load. Elements made from Sylomer® or Sylodyn® give the superstructure greater elasticity and create a balance that protects the components. Wear is reduced and less line maintenance required.
Advantages
- Highly effective vibration protection
- Reduction of structure-borne noise
- Less maintenance required
- Less wear on superstructure components
- Higher track stability
- System remains effective for the entire life cycle of the superstructure
Case study
Getzner products and solutions appear throughout the world in high-speed applications.
Challenges
The project of the century: At 57 kilometres, the longest railway tunnel in the world.
Strong pressure and suction forces due to the high speeds of the trains.
Special environmental conditions in the tunnel.
„Getzner had to ensure high supply availability for the whole duration of the project, and guarantee a consistent and extremely high level of quality – for the entire period of use.“Anabel Hengelmann, Chief Executive Officer of Sonneville AG.
Challenges
The new, twin-track railway line is marked out for a speed of 250 km/h.
The regular service is 260 to 300 trains every day.
Development of the Brenner railway link – easing the situation for the region.
„It was important for ARGE to have a partner with whom we could solve problems together and who could put their high-tech product across well. Getzner met this requirement in full.“Robert Kumpusch EMBA-HSG, Project Manager ARGE Alptransit Brenner.
