InnoTrans 2024 – The Future of Mobility
Berlin, 24 - 27 September 2024
The global expansion and upgrading of rail transport is seen as the key to green mobility and environmentally friendly logistics in times of climate change. However, people and nature must also be directly protected from disruptive vibrations and harmful noise. Getzner offers innovative solutions for effective vibration isolation, which also have a positive effect on the sustainability of the overall system. Visit us at InnoTrans 2024 and find out more about our contribution to a future worth living.
Our trade fair presence
Getzner will be represented at InnoTrans with two exhibition stands. At our main stand in Hall 25, we will be providing information on track applications - from effective vibration isolation and noise reduction to superstructure protection. In Hall 1.1, we will be presenting our solutions for elastic bearings in wagon and carriage floors, and additional vibration isolation in rolling stock.
Superstructure protection and vibration isolation
Train traffic exposes superstructures to enormous loads, which inevitably lead to wear and can impair safe and reliable railway operations. Our sustainable solutions for protecting rails, sleepers, and ballast help to significantly reduce maintenance costs. This not only increases the availability of railway lines, but also reduces life cycle costs and improves the carbon footprint.
As the usage of rail and its associated networks grows worldwide, encroachment upon urban areas is an increasing concern. The vibrations and noise caused by rail traffic often have a negative impact on residents and adjacent buildings. We offer an extensive portfolio of Sylomer® and Sylodyn® applications that effectively reduce vibrations to provide effective protection against vibrations and noise.

Elastic bearings in railway carriages
As elastic bearings in rolling stock, our polyurethane solutions increase ride comfort and reduce life cycle costs. Found in the floor of passenger carriages, under driver's cabs in locomotives, and in air conditioning units on the carriage roof, they reliably isolate vibrations, in addition to having fire-retardant properties.
