First vibration isolation project in Poland using sleeper pads
2012 saw Getzner install highly-elastic sleeper pads for the first time as a vibration isolation measure in Poland. A new tram line has been built in the city of Częstochowa in Silesia in the south of the country. For this project, Getzner effectively reduced disruptive vibrations by providing vibration isolation for the track bed.
The project was accompanied by protests from a local resident whose property is located in the immediate vicinity of the new tram line. Finally, Getzner's vibration solution defused the conflict situation and satisfied all parties involved - highly elastic sleeper soles thus interrupt sound transmission at the source and effectively protect both the track bed and the immediate surroundings from vibrations and noise. Even Poland's largest national daily newspaper, Gazeta Wyborcza, reports that this delicate case was solved by a special vibration solution from a specialist company in Austria.
