Getzner employees get involved
On 15th April, Getzner Textil and Getzner Werkstoffe joined forces at the starting line of the “Bludenz läuft” race, with 400 participants all helping to raise money for the “Ma hilft” organisation.
It was hoped around 200 runners from both Getzner Textil and Getzner Werkstoffe would take part in this year’s running event in Bludenz, as the perfect way to mark the company’s 2018 anniversary. In the end, twice that number got involved with more than 400 employees of the Getzner Group representing the company on the starting line.
Charity work
The company paid all the costs for employees taking part in the race, with the entrance fee of something over 10 euros per runner going to a good cause. So, the large number of participants added up to a brilliant contribution of 4,100 euros in total. This money will now benefit people in Vorarlberg who have fallen on hard times. “The massive joint response from our employees when it came to taking part in “Bludenz läuft” has really exceeded our expectations. I’m delighted we have been able to make a donation to such a worthy cause on behalf of all the employees who took part”, said an enthusiastic Roland Comploj, CEO at Getzner Textil AG.
