Isotop® MSN-DAMP: new shock absorber for components and units
Because even smaller components and units can cause noise and vibrations, Getzner has launched a new shock absorber to add to its broad product range. The screw-mountable Isotop® MSN-DAMP shock absorber consists of two corrosion-resistant metal caps and a damping body made of polyurethane. The Isotop® products combine the exceptional material properties of Getzner's proprietary Sylomer® and Sylodyn® materials with the benefits of steel springs.
Isotop® MSN-DAMP shock absorbers can be used outside and have been specially developed for the bearing of compact units such as small and standard compressors, heat pumps, split-type or standard air-handling units. They ensure that vibrations are suppressed at source and are not transmitted into the surrounding environment. Depending on the load type, they have a natural frequency of roughly 11 Hz and can be easily integrated and replaced in existing systems thanks to their low yet consistent overall height.
