Mass-spring system in Munich-Pasing
Munich-Pasing is the most important traffic junction in the west of Munich. The up-and-coming district around Pasing station and the Marienplatz there has recently undergone a structural upgrade. The aim of the project was to relieve traffic and to improve connections. In order to protect the surrounding buildings from noise and vibrations, Stadtwerke München, as the client, provided vibration protection for the new track connection.
A mass-spring system from Getzner was used. It enjoys an excellent reputation as the ideal solution for inner-city areas among local transport companies, engineering offices and urban planners alike. The solution is highly efficient, as vibrations and structure-borne noise are optimally isolated. This considerably increases the quality of living and working in the surrounding area. The excellent cooperation between Stadtwerke München, the executing construction company Rhomberg Bahntechnik GmbH and Getzner Werkstoffe has already proven itself many times over and was confirmed once again in this project. "Thanks to our efficient planning, we contributed to the fact that the vibration-insulating system, which covers around 3,700 m2 , was installed in only eight months," says Sascha Reuter, Getzner's project manager in Grünwald.
