Getzner presents its latest innovations in vibration protection at Sifer 2017
Buers (AT), Lyon, Lille (FR). Just in time for Sifer 2017 in Lille (21. - 23. march), Getzner Werkstoffe is presenting its latest developments in sleeper pads, mass-spring systems and under ballast mats. The leading specialist in the field of vibration isolation and protection is an experienced operator on the French market thanks to numerous projects, ranging from the tramway line in Nice to the SNCF high-speed lines.
Getzner Werkstoffe is the leading specialist in vibration isolation. The company's solutions are based on the polyurethane materials Sylomer®, Sylodyn® and Sylodamp®, which have been developed and manufactured in Austria. They are used in the rail, construction and industry sectors. The latest developments in the rail sector are on show at Sifer 2017, with the focus on Getzner's sleeper pad (high-speed – open tracks and turnouts), mass-spring system (tramway lines and metro) and under ballast mat (urban transport, bridges and tunnels) products. In the SNCF high-speed network, for example, half a million sleeper pads reduce vibrations caused by trains travelling at speeds of up to 320 km/h, which lowers the maintenance costs for the line while enhancing comfort for passengers.
A unique trade fair experience
With 430 exhibitors and around 5,000 visitors, Sifer 2017 is one of the sector's most prominent events and is also the only trade fair of its kind in France. Getzner will be exhibiting its products on Stand 2/433 from 21st to 23rd March, where visitors will be able to experience “vibrations” interactively. A vibrating model, developed specifically for trade fairs, allows visitors to experience and understand the effect of vibrations first-hand.
