Getzner Werkstoffe with positive financial year 2020

Bürs (AT). Getzner achieved a turnover of 105.5 million euros in the 2020 financial year. The success can be attributed to the international focus of the company as well as its broadly positioned business areas.

Getzner, the world market leader for vibration protection, has had a successful business year even during the Corona pandemic. The company was able to achieve a result of 105.5 million euros in 2020 despite a slight decline in sales. Getzner is thus continuing the positive trend of recent years. "We owe our economic success in the past fiscal year primarily to our dedicated employees," says Jürgen Rainalter, Chief Executive Officer of Getzner: "Together with our team, we will continue to expand our involvement in international markets in 2021. With new subsidiaries and sales offices in Australia and France, we see that this continues to be the right path."

Project and product highlights in 2020
Among the most spectacular projects from last year was the installation of a pool bearing at the "Adress Residences Jumeirah Resort + Spa" in Dubai. On the top floor at a height of over 300 meters, the world's highest infinity pool was bedded on Sylomer®. New products such as the extension of the “Acoustic Floor Mat” portfolio were launched on the market. The vibration isolating solution now has improved product characteristics, with enhanced dynamic efficacy and a further reduction in the height of the highly resilient impact noise protection mat. In the railroad sector, a new sleeper pad named “Sylomer® SLB 7000 FT”, that fulfils the requirements of heavy-duty traffic with a thickness of only 7mm was introduced after several years of development. "Our high investments in product development paid off again in 2020. Our innovative solutions will protect people, machines and the environment even more effectively in the future," explains Jürgen Rainalter. Further digital solutions are also showing up in the industrial sector; with the online selection programs "EquipCalc" and "BounceCalc", the materials and solutions of the Isotop® and Sylodamp® product groups can be calculated and determined by customers themselves.

What the future brings
Getzner is looking to the future with confidence. "Despite the current pandemic situation, we expect the company to grow again this year, as shown by our current order levels," Rainalter summarizes. In 2021, a lot will be new in the company, also thanks to the expansion at the headquarters in Bürs. "This year, we will also take a big step into the future in the company with the major project of moving into the new office building and the high-rack warehouse that is already in operation," concludes Rainalter.
