This Privacy Policy for Applications informs you about how the Getzner Werkstoffe Group processes your personal data when you apply for a position with the Getzner Werkstoffe Group.

Application and Candidate Profile
As first step, you will be asked to send us your application through an application form, which requires your name, e-mail address and CV.
A candidate profile will be created for you in an automated way in the background in our recruiting system. In order to be able to access your candidate profile afterwards, you will receive a notification after receipt of your application containing a link to the candidate profile and instructions for resetting the password.
Types of Processed Data
We would like to inform you that, as part of the application, the data contained in the accompanying documents and the data provided in any possible interview -hereinafter referred to as “Data”- such as title, name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, gender, citizenship, marital status, date of birth, qualifications, certificates, personal images, etc. will be forwarded to Getzner Werkstoffe GmbH and/or one of its affiliated companies for the purpose stated below and will be processed according to the purpose stated below.
Purpose and relevant Legal Basis
The data you provide as part of your application will be transferred to the relevant HR managers for the purpose of personnel recruitment and hiring. The HR managers/companies have undertaken particular obligations to maintain confidentiality. Your data will only be forwarded to other employees with your express consent.
The processing of your data is generally necessary in order to take steps prior entering into a contractual obligation, in this case the examination of the applicant´s suitability before employment pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. (b) GDPR. If it should be intended to use your data for another purpose, a consent will be obtained pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. (a) GDPR (e.g. for record keeping and use for alternative positions in the Getzner Werkstoffe Group).
The utilisation will be carried out specifically by the Getzner Werkstoffe Group company to which you are applying or, in the event of further utilisation, by the company offering the alternative position.

Cooperation with Processors and Third Parties
In the scope of our processing, we will only transfer your data to other entities or companies (processors or third parties) or otherwise grant them access to your data on the basis of a permission granted by law, if you have given your consent, or if we are subject to a legal obligation to do so or on the basis of our legitimate interests.
If we contract third parties to process your data on the basis of a “Data Processing Agreement“ (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag), said third parties will be contracted on the basis of Article 28 GDPR.
Data Transfer to Third Countries
We will only process your data in a third country (i.e. outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA)), or do so by using the services of third parties or disclosing or transferring data to third parties, for the fulfilment of our (pre-) contractual duties (Article 6 para. 1 lit. (b) GDPR), on the basis of your consent (Article 6 para. 1 lit. (a) GDPR), on the basis of a legal obligation (Article 6 para. 1 lit. (c) GDPR) or on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6 para. 1 lit. (f) GDPR). Unless granted permission by law or on the basis of a contract, we will only process or have your data processed in a third country if the specific conditions set out in Article 44 et seq. GDPR are met. That means processing is conducted on the basis of specific safeguards, such as a data protection level that is officially recognised as corresponding to that of the EU or compliance with officially recognised, specific contractual obligations (“standard contractual clauses”)
Data Security
The security of your data is of great importance to us. The data you provide will be transferred to a database. We take necessary and appropriate precautions to protect your data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, manipulation and destruction.
The technical protection measures used are, among others, password protection, logging, access controls, firewalls and anti-virus programmes. The organisational measures used are, among others, restricting access to data for selected employees and confidentiality agreements.
Viewing and Changing your Data
You can view, change or delete the data you have provided in your candidate profile at any time through the application platform. Please note that changes to your candidate profile may affect all your current applications.
Erasure of your Data
If your candidate profile is not used, it will be erased 6 months after the last log-in. Your application/ your data will be stored in the recruiting system until the end of the application process and for an additional six months thereafter.
Your Rights
Pursuant to Article 15 GDPR you have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data are being processed, and, where that is the case, the right to access such personal data and to obtain further information and a copy of the data.
Pursuant to Article 16 GDPR you have the right to obtain the completion of personal data concerning you or the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you.
Pursuant to Article 17 GDPR you have the right to obtain the erasure of personal data concerning you without undue delay, or alternatively pursuant to Article 18 GDPR the right to obtain restriction of the processing of the data.
Pursuant to Article 20 GDPR you have the right to receive personal data concerning you – that you have provided to us - and have the right to demand the transfer of those data to another controller.
Furthermore, pursuant to Article 77 GDPR you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.
Right to Withdraw Consent and Right to Object
Pursuant to Article 7 para. 3 you have the right to withdraw given consents at any time with effect for the future. Furthermore, pursuant to Article 21 GDPR you have the right to object at any time to the future processing of data concerning you.
