Isolation underneath the ceiling
Elastic decoupling using strips of Sylomer® and Sylodyn® in the ceiling protects a building against disruptive vibrations, such as those caused by adjacent railway traffic. In principle, this type of vibration isolation is possible on every storey of a building. Individual floors can also be vertically offset as long as they remain completely isolated.
With computerised modelling, Getzner can precisely determine the levels of vibrations that can be anticipated in the building. If the vibrations or noise levels are higher than the defined thresholds, vibration isolation of the structure can be an effective way of achieving the desired result. Decoupling of cellar ceilings has proven itself when put to the test in practical applications. This solution is comparatively cost-effective and very easy to install. The wide variety of building loads in this sector means that a broad range of different bearing options are required. This requirement presents no problems for Getzner, thanks to our finely tuned product range and calculation models.
