UNTIL Marylebone is the first Wellcare facility of its kind, located in London. Ensure smooth operation, particularly high demands were placed on sound insulation and vibration isolation: vibrations caused by sporting activities had to be effectively minimised and noise effectively reduced. The aim was to guarantee comfort for members and at the same time ensure that there was no disturbance in neighbouring areas of the building. A high-quality atmosphere was to be created in which not only the design but also the acoustic quality played a central role. The aim was to implement a solution that would fulfil the high demands on sound insulation and noise avoidance.

The challenges
The project presented specific challenges that required a customised acoustic solution. UNTIL Marylebone's premises are located in the basement and are adjacent to sensitive areas such as dental surgeries, medical facilities and offices. To ensure undisturbed use, it is crucial to minimise vibrations and noise emissions.
In addition, the floor had to withstand high point loads of 150 to 200 kg caused by the intensive use of fitness equipment and training activities. The combination of sound insulation, vibration damping and absorption of extreme impact forces presented a complex challenge.
