Cooperation within the field of recycled elastomers
Bürs (AT). In January 2024, Getzner Werkstoffe Holding GmbH acquired 50% of the shares in Isolgomma Srl, a manufacturer of special products for sound insulation and vibration control based on recycled rubber. For Getzner, this is a further step towards sustainability and the support of material cycles.Getzner is leading in vibration protection in the railway, construction and industrial sectors and has a broad-based portfolio. Specially developed polyurethane-based materials such as Sylomer are characterised by a long service life, maintenance-free operation and long-term stable material properties. The in-house Isotop series also utilises the dynamic properties of steel springs for optimum vibration isolation. Products made from recycled elastomers will also be increasingly used in the future, for example when the ecological footprint plays a special role. "We want to offer customised solutions," says Jürgen Rainalter, Chief Executive Officer of Getzner. "In addition to technical performance, there are a whole range of other factors that we take into account in the respective configuration."

Getzner Werkstoffe nominated for State Award for Innovation 2023
Bürs, Vienna (AT). Getzner Werkstoffe, leading vibration protection specialist, has been nominated for the State Award for Innovation 2023. The product in focus is an innovative under sleeper pad for railway sleepers. The elastoplastic under sleeper pad ensures better interlocking of the sleeper base with the ballast compared to conventional solutions. In this way, heat-induced track buckling can be significantly reduced. After Getzner received the Innovation Award of the State of Vorarlberg and the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce for its next generation of elastoplastic under sleeper pads in June 2023, the vibration protection expert from Bürs can look forward to participating in the next round: the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economic Affairs and the jury of the State Innovation Award have nominated the Getzner project "Innovative under sleeper pads of the next generation: Protection against track buckling". "We are very pleased about this new, beautiful confirmation of our work. With under sleeper pads made of the completely newly developed polyurethane material, we have managed to prevail over a large number of nationwide submissions for the State Award. GEPI Connect granted ETA and CE marking
The GEPI Connect angle brackets recently have been granted the European Technical Assessment (ETA) and CE marking. The three angle types for different load ranges were developed as a cooperation between Getzner, Pitzl as well as the University of Innsbruck and can now be used throughout Europe for static verification thanks to ETA approval. The declaration of conformity (CE marking) confirms that the products meet the technical requirements of the European Union. The mark guarantees unrestricted use within the European market and also stands for controlled product quality."The certification enables problem-free, Europe-wide installation in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation, which is particularly relevant for public buildings. We hope that this will make it even easier for those responsible for construction to decide in favour of our product," emphasises Sebastian Wiederin, product manager at Getzner.
